Highgate WA: let's build a baby apartment block thread

We made a deck out of a product from Bunnings which is a mix of recycled plastic and bamboo. It is maintenance free and is a dark brown color as pictured in your photo. Not any cheaper than wood I believe but set and forget  I think it is called Ekodeck. Hope that helps.

help to reduce tax / debt

I think it a shame that lollypops has not taken up your offer. I think you have a good heart to have offered a fresh set of eyes on their situation. I was hoping that lollypops lack of response this past 24 hours was an indication that she had in fact taken you up on your offer. I wish her...

Subdivide then build or visa versa? Finance implications

Oops ...only meant for the last few lines to be quoted. The block we intend to subdivide off is only small (<270m2) so we opted for subdivision first to ensure it was passed before building on it. We didn't want to end up with 2 dwellings on one block which in the lower socioeconomic area...

    RealWealth Australia course

Ameena, I to listened to the webinar and got to wondering if I need the motivation provided by this program or whether it would be more stuff in the cupboard and just make my bank account $5000 lighter. It's a fair bit of money to spend if I then chicken out or lose momentum and don't put it...

    Backflow prevention device test

We had a backflow valve put in this year when our water tank was installed. It stops water from the tank or our swimming pool flowing backwards into the mains water system and "fouling" it. The appliance was put in by our plumber for approx $170. It was simply a small connection put inline with...

Tenant is a hoarder - what should I do?

This needs to be dealt with urgently!! I can't help thinking if this house goes up in flames (as often happens over winter, especially with hoarders) even your current insurance wouldn't be worth the paper it is written on. Then you may have mortgage to pay with no home to show for it. Is what...
