My husband and I are looking to buy in Brisbane as we're moving there shortly and don't really want to rent. We are planning to buy a place that we will live in for many years, so it really needs to be the right place.
Is it bad to buy near a train station? One place we're looking at is...
And there are the exact reasons why I would never go to Afghanistan, I can't understand laws like that. So, it's simple really, if you don't like the laws of a country, don't go there!!!
True, but it's $20-$25 and they can only write a certificate for one day. No good for me as my cold's usually last at least 3 days. Very rare that I'd only take one day off when sick.
That's what I don't get. All the appointments at my doctor's office are 10 minutes long unless you request (and pay for) a longer appointment. So by definition, all appointments will be less than or equal to the 10 minutes and all patients at the practice I go to will only get the $16.95...
Virgin credit card free flights
I've been thinking of getting one of their credit cards just for the free flights. Do you find you can book the ones you want? And are they at the same price as on the net?
It sounds to me like the best thing you could do for your girlfriend is buy her some English lessons. Maybe a misunderstanding like this won't happen again.
I have nbn. Have had it for well over a year now. It's excellent! Went from ADSL1 where the maximum connection I could ever get was 0.7mb to a 25mb connection on NBN. So fast! Don't know how I'm going to go moving to a place next year where I won't be able to get it.
Does she have the funds available to offer a number of weeks/months rent up front? That would certainly make her more attractive to me as a landlord. At least you wouldn't have to worry about rent coming in for a while then.
If you do a search for Binvested, you'll find a number of threads about them on here. You'll also see Nathan post on here occassionally (he used to be a regular) under the alias of Nathan.
Not sure about Paul Wilson though.
It must be different in other states, because in ACT it's very easy. Water usage is on a single line on the bill, so there's not calculation involved. I'm sure all they do to collect it is send an email to the tenants with that amount and a please pay note. Not too hard!
Out of interest, can you take your own pets with you on housesitting jobs? I'm just thinking that it could work out well for us if our dates to move up to Brisbane don't quite line up nicely with the date of settlement on our place in Canberra.
Yeah, that's why I always cross out that clause. I think it's a joke. Why should that get commission for that unless they are then going to take on all of the negotiating as well?
