When did NAB change it's lending policy to reflect APRAS direction?

Hi. To all those mortgage brokers out there when did NAB change their lending criteria (servicing and LVR) to meet APRAS guidelines? Have been told by my NAB branch manager today that it was April 13 and that's why a loan I went for in late April was declined due to the changes in servicing. Cheers

    Is Bendigo past it's prime?

To say Bendigo has peaked is a big call. I take it with a grain of salt those people who are suddenly experts in the Bendigo region. I'm currently not buying in Bendigo at present but to say it has peaked, never to rise again is full of xxxx. Bendigo was stagnant for a long time, it then...

    Is Bendigo past it's prime?

Hi I've got a few places in Bendigo. Vacancy rate is definitely up and I've had a bit of trouble renting out a couple of my properties and recently dropped the rent on one to get it rented. That's ok though with the recent rate drops I'm still making money. I still believe that Bendigo has a lot...

Changes / tightening on servicing for investors

Hi Peter and Jess, Thanks for your input. I now realise future servicing from NAB will be very difficult. As with others on this forum I will now have to look at those lenders that are more flexible with there servicing calculators and LVR. I guess that's we're Mortgage Brokers will come...

Changes / tightening on servicing for investors

Hi Jamie, Going to have to definitely look at spreading my loans around which I will do once they come off fixed rate. My point was the NAB are introducing their new lending criteria in mid June. The reason I got for my recent refusal of an investment loan was due to servacibility...

Changes / tightening on servicing for investors

Just a quick question from what I saw from a previous post NAB will bring in changes to their lending policies in the middle of June. I recently applied for a loan in late April only to have it refused due to servacibility. The banker stated that it was due to the APRA recommendations to tighten...

What is the best prize you have won

I've won a jackpot in Norway I received the text only a few days ago all I have to do is pay a "consignment fee" via Western Union to a honest bloke in Nigeria to release the money. He also wants to introduce me to a widower who needs a bank account to release her funds to, I think I'm on a...

Hi Watson, They are only offering 1 refinance rebate of $1250. I have asked for 6 but they are concerned after outlaying so much cash I could move again, therefore that's why I asked for the 4 %.

How Often Do You Get Bank Valuations?

Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. I didn't realize there was an exposure limit. I thought as long as I remained in the 80% LVR (my rule) and was able to demonstrate that I could repay the loans I would be right. Cheers Martin
