Why do you want to sand your walls? Are they gyprock or rendered brick? I wouldn't sand gyprock walls as you'll be wasting your time and damaging the cardboard on the sheets. I wouldn't sand rendered brick as you'll be wasting your time. Just paint straight over the wall in your choice of colour.
