We own an IP in Pooraka, in Montague Estate, which is about a 10 minute walk to the UniSA campus at Mawson Lakes. Nice area, 3 bed 2 bath which cost mid 300's. Literally across the other side of Main North Road.

There's a place down on Port Rd that do refurbished ovens. Got a stand alone oven from there for one of our IP's. For $20 or $50, they dropped it off, installed it and took the old one away. SA Electrical and Gas Centre i think. Cheap, this was about 2 years ago though.

Yep, couldn't agree more in regards to the North East, we've been looking for a PPOR out there for the last 3 odd months, and not a lot coming up that is cheap enough for us to buy. Saw one in Dernancourt for $270k, 640sqm, 3 bedder on the land at the moment, but that was gone real quick...

Yeah mate, have used them for both. Was put onto them by KeyInvest, he does a lot of investment property work i was told.

The hope is certainly to keep it for the long term, however if circumstances change (Partners job isn't secure) then we may have to sell - that's the only reason we would. We've already accessed the equity in there for a 2nd purchase, i probably should have mentioned that.. Sorry about...

Thanks for the feedback. Bought it back in late 2012, mid 300k's. 3 bed 2 bath 2 living, 640sqm. Was originally PPOR but turned it investment after 6 months. Valued @ $380k late last year, hoping for a little more out of it!

With Enfield almost completed, Kilburn starting to be sub divided, and Mawson Lakes already established, how long until people think Pooraka will start? I've already seen a few sub divided blocks with new houses selling around the 380k mark. Have a property in Montague Estate, trying to...
