Perth property listings - under 12,000.

I had the first viewing for my apartment in Mount Lawley today (for rent). Older block, nothing special, one-bedder, reasonably busy street, just a nice tidy renno. Advertised at $375 per week, first viewing today. In the agents words "we won't be needing a second viewing". She was...

Perth Market Flooded And No Sales

Just to clarify, it was sold it for 2% more than what we paid in 2008. Nominally, it's a higher price, in reality, as an investment it would be considered a loss. (this wasn't an investment, it was my PPOR).

Perth Market Flooded And No Sales

I recently sold a 3 bed 2 bath apart (quite large) in the 6000 post code. The offer is currently unconditional, and is settling soon. The price was approximately a 4% discount from the asking price. There were two failed offers - finance denied in both cases. On one offer, the mortgage...

The Property Mood in Perth - Feb 2011

Last time I saw the stats, the CBD and Northbridge were leading the pack, significantly, and were both very similar. When you consider that there are tens of thousands of people in Northbridge every weekend, your odds of facing any trouble are very low. The CBD is dead at night, and yet the...

The Property Mood in Perth - Feb 2011

You're right about the 9pm thing on Sunday thru Thursday, I know a few that will open until 10, and as you mentioned, the few in Chinatown that stay open until 4am (or at least midnight or so such as Hawkers Cuisine). The late night cafe must be The Moon. There's always the late night This...

The Property Mood in Perth - Feb 2011

Yes, it does! Northbridge has free public transport, a museum, a state library, over 200 restaurants, many small bars and pubs, many galleries, and is the closest of every suburb to the CBD. No other suburb in Perth has this.

RPData - House prices falling (nation wide) - Q2 2010

I am neither bullish nor bearish on this issue - very undecided. However, ABS statistics show for the last few months, consecutively, the value of dwelling commitments, and the total number of dwelling commitments, have increased every month (after previous declines), Also, the percentage...

The Property Mood in Perth - Feb 2011

Northbridge is the cheapest of all inner city suburbs/CBD, and has the best amenities. My prediction - whatever happens in Perth property over the next 5 - 10 years, Northbridge will do better than the average.

realistically how far can the ASX drop?

I agree with Blue Card. Corporate earnings will fall further, dividends will fall. As the earnings will be dropping for some time yet, the yields just won't be enticing enough for buyers. Only thing that can happen - prices drop further. Hold on to your hats, and my commiserations in...

realistically how far can the ASX drop?

We will retest the lows of 03, meaning another 30% drop or so, or about 2400 - 2600. Lock it in!

We will have a property crash, but this isn’t it! (M. Yardney)

Of course they don't, Dazz. They're not smart enough to own property, and provide a long term roof over their heads for themselves and their family. Statistics don't matter to me - what matters is putting a roof over my head, for me and my family. You CAN use statistics to back any...

^^ I know! I can't wait for the 24/7 google street view video version, my neighbour has some HOT daughters, and I don't mind the face blurrs, as they really do have butter faces anyway.

Features soon to be added: a) Reverse phone directory: click on any house in Australia, and find out the name of the occupants, and the telephone number. Of course, all of this information is already available, Google is just making it easier to find. Also a "Skype" plugin will allow you to...
