How much can people really earn?

I'm pretty sure Kiyosaki said that as well and its very true. But on that note I don't think those clowns that have been running some of those Banks in the US deserve those huge salaries. A trained monkey probably would have achieved a better result. Wow please tell me which companies are...

Climategate and Media lack of Interest

My argument is we need to be targeting the real enemy and not wasting time and money on the wrong one. It was only 30 yrs ago they were telling everyone we are heading into a new devastating ice age. So what is it?? Are we heading into an ice age (which yes will happen again in the future as...

From what I have been reading it looks obvious that the planet is in constant change in regards to warming and cooling. If man thinks he can change the what the planet is doing than we are seriously deluded. I am all for looking after the planet in regards to reducing pollution and stopping...

    hmmm dubai

Abu Dhabi can easily afford to bail out Dubai if they want to. Now this is the big question, at what price and conditions are they willing to do this at. Thats why I think they will negotiate hard and come away from the whole mess in a strong controlling position. What is that old saying...

    hmmm dubai

They aren't related, they come from totally different families. The only emirate with any money in the UAE is Abu Dhabi. They have the worlds biggest sovereign fund, estimated as high as $600 Billion. They have already bailed out Dubai on a least 2 occasions and are probably this time letting...

    Fixing or variable?

The banks have already factored in the coming interest rate rises, so the best time if you wanted to fix was back in April. I can't see interest rates rising to much anyway and the current 5 yr fixed rates aren't attractive in my view. I will be sticking to my variable rate.

ING dropping 4/5 years fixed rates

That's a good indication than, that they believe interest rates are not going to rise to much once they do start rising. I will stick with my variable loans as it give me the most flexibility.

    Transfer Duty on Commercial Property

Thanks for that. It makes me sick the amount of money you have to pay to the local govt. I can't see them ever giving up this tax though as they must be getting millions every year from this only.

    Anyone recommend a Architect

I'm looking at renovating my Queenslander, and want to know if anyone can recommend an Architect in Brisbane that they have used for a renovation. I want to add a back deck, renovate the kitchen and enclose the side veranda at the front. I would need them to draw up the plans and submit for...

April's RBA Board Rate Cut Announced: 0.25%

I see the point you are putting forward, but the banks can never go back to draconian lending practice under the current financial model. Banks need to lend more and more money to remain profitable otherwise they should just shut their doors now and go into liquidation. The govts around the...

    Australia: Structural Change

Yep America has joined the UK and Japan in creating more money out of thin air to try and starve off deflation which they terrified of. Just hope they get the balance right and don't cause massive inflation.

Letter to employees - This IS the way it is

Yes this email has been doing the rounds for a long time, I am actually tired of getting spam like this from my mates. I have told them to stop forwarding on anymore emails, other wise I will have to block them. The letter has some good points and appeals to the small business owners but at...

Rates on hold. Well that's a surprise.

The cutting of the rates was not the cause of the current credit crisis it was the lending of money to people who couldn't afford to pay it back and had no incentive to do so.
