I did some plastering repairs on the weekend at a mates place. We used a new fibreglass/nylon mesh that you stick on and plaster over with 2 to 3 coats. Supposed to work magic. Talk to a plasterboard supplier Dave P :)

BV I feel it is two issues.... People are obtaining higher prices in southern states and coming to Qld with some additional cash...buying in a bit of a frenzy...hence pushing the prices up.... Generally the costs of building in qld have been lower, however this is changing as demand...

Zaza I guess it depends a little on how you have set up the initial purchase. If its just a staright 50/50 with no trust or Company arrangement, You might be better buying your partner out and owning all the the asset. Banks tend to look more favourably on property you own yourself...

MF I suggest you talk to your Bank Finance Officer. Most Banks look at 30 to 35% of gross income as ability to pay. If you lower your income by sacrifice...I would assume it would have an impact. They would take into account you lower living expenses based on your sacrifice but I am not sure...

Guys I am still finding property prices on the increase in Hervey Bay. Beachfont property appears to have gone up another $50K in the last 6 months. Sales seem to have slowed a little but still strong. DP :)
