How is it people can't see through Assange?

Probably the most intelligent post in this thread...................well apart from someone's comment that JA is "dangerous" ;)

Butterfly Roofs? Why arent there more

What appears to be being overlooked is that narrow eaves are a valid architectural style, from memory, dating back to the 1700's and known as Georgian style architecture.

    Abbott or Gillard...?

Just to clarify my "comrade" reference.............every time I hear Gillard speak I am reminded of the type of (extreme unionist) dialogue I heard for too many years working in the mining industry. One of these days she's going to slip up and instead of saying "friends" she'll say "comrades"...

    Abbott or Gillard...?

You quote me but refer to Macca  If you read back through this thread, you'll find where I already stated I didn't vote for either of the major parties ;)

    Abbott or Gillard...?

Comrade (or should I say "friend") Strannik, You're really showing where your true allegiance lies, aren't you . If we're to believe the media, the majority of constiuents in the Independant held seats would prefer their representatives to side with the...

    Abbott or Gillard...?

I don't see any drama................."everyone" is legally required to submit a ballot paper BUT there's no way we should be dictated to as to "how" we vote on that ballot paper.

    Abbott or Gillard...?

The point (that has been illustrated), is that a vote for the Greens did strongly enhance Labour's chances of holding some seats, so how can any earlier statements to that effect be called a "blatant Liberal lie"? Sounds like sour grapes from a Labourite . BTW, I voted for...

    Abbott or Gillard...?

Well can you then explain why according to last nights "analysts", so many Labour candidates have only held their seats because of Green's preferences ;)

    Network Monitoring

Very smart move. WW, I'm fast approaching my sixth decade and still carry the legacy of an overly suspicious parent. PLEASE proceed with caution in deciding to covertly monitor your childs "communications".........I can't stress this enough.

    Network Monitoring

Back on the first page of this thread I asked WW if this was hypothetical or not as I suspect the introduction of illicit drugs to the discussion may have been in response to some earlier comments..............ie; more to make a point rather than being factual. WW hasn't responded to this...

WW, Is this a hypothetical scenario or is this something you suspect is happening?

    17 year olds

This has been one of the best threads I've seen on SS............WW, I think you were exceptionally firm but not over the top. Around 1970 I was working for the NRMA in claims, at that time the Ford Capri was earning a reputation as the worst car, I recall at least 3 instances where they...

My new job, 5 weeks in..

Most good luthiers reputations are developed by word of mouth. How he got into it is totally irrelevant. Talk to your ex-boss and convince him to make an effort to pull more repair work through his business, even if you pay him a commission on each job. Customers' trust is something you...

I'm building our next house out of Weet Bix

As many Weetbix as I can fit as a single layer in the bowl (usually four), overly generous quantites of brown sugar and then cold mild, firstly enough to be absorbed into the 'bix then more to fill up around them. Any other way is pure sacrilege. :D

    Bubye KRudd

Rudd came across as a limp little man, Gillard (at least to me) has always appeared to be a hard nosed, butt licking, two faced, ambitious individual. I was actually surprised to find out that she was in a hetrosexual relationship. What concerns me is that IMHO, the Libs don't seem to have...
