Not sure about VIC' but in QLD, the auctioneer can sign on behalf of the buyer...so if you refuse to sign after fall of hammer, auctioneer will sign for you. This makes up part of the conditions of sale at auction and is read out before bidding starts. cheers

that is funny, I have never heard it before! As an agent, I assume the fact that you are viewing the property at all means you are interested. I have seen over the years people try different strategies and "tricks" to not show their hand to the agent...but the agent doesn't decide if your offer...

Where is the apartment located?!? You should get more details from the buyer! Most areas are going crazy, but some are still quite stagnant. Anything coastal should see a quick sale if it is priced and marketed right. cheers.

Not sure about SA but in QLD an agent has to get you to sign a multiple offer form if there is more than one offer, just to show that legally they have informed you of the multiple offers....is SA the same?
