    If funder pays LMI is it added to loan?

    Funder pays LMI, borrower pays higher interest as compensation. Is the LMI added to the loan amount (the principle) OR the higher interest paid is in effect the LMI payment? John

    What is fundamental difference between LO and NO doc

    Under what circumstances do the lenders check on assets and liabilities. Or do they for these type of loans. Please don't talk about fraud etc. I just want to know. Thanks.

    Stamp Duty paid within 3 months of settlement. VIC

    The Vic gov website page "Taxes and Duties" clearly states (under Land Transfers) that: "The purchaser is liable to pay the duty within 3 months of settlement". Now I presume most people pay at settlement when all the monies criss-cross. Is 3 months possible?

    I believe 'loan costs' are written off over 5 years. Is LMI treated this way? What if the mortgage providor pays for it? Thanks

    LVR and LMI and short term cash flow.

    I am having trouble determining with a reasonable degree of accuracy the monies required up front. An extreme hypothetical to illustrate the point. Lo Doc loan. If I buy for 500K and valuation is 800K then LVR is below 80% if I am seeking 500K. If valuation is 500K then 95% = 475K. PLUS...
