    getting quite mad here OMG. this guy is an absolute crook. so it's supposedly 'completed' has not a single appliance installed because of insurance (presume this is commonplace)? said to give a weeks notice for install.. so, the property manager has an EXCELLENT tenant lined up already...

    non - conformance! the build is....still going........ HOPEFUL that they receive the keys in the next week or two but don't hold your breath! They went up on the weekend just to have a look and - the place was left completely unlocked! my god these people are idiots - any random could have...

    OMG, so this still continues! The builder has apparently washed his hands of it and his father (also a builder) has taken over. the father actually answers his phone...that's a plus. the f**king townhouse is 1 year + overdue and my mum has since lost her job! stressed much?

    hi, thanks for all your input - my parents have followed up on this and there have apparently been delays caused by electricity etc that we weren't made aware of at all, builder has admitted he is 6 months overdue and owes them money/payments etc. so, we'll see where it goes from here...

    yeah so as it turns out the builder had the following in contract: Build days: 130 (+ 100 days for 'bad weather/circumstances etc). home is now 6 months behind due completion date and not answering calls of course...:eek:

    Hey Aaron, can you explain the benefits of going unconditional/waiving cooling off period? does this make it more enticing for the agent - is it a faster way of settling? i presume you would feel there is little risk in this because you have done all the right homework before purchasing? :confused:
