    Mortgage Broking Franchise Commission Splits

Thanks for clearing that up. It makes sense. I was under the impression most franchises also used aggregators. I knew Mortgage Choice didn't, but was unsure on the other franchisors models.

    Mortgage Broking Franchise Commission Splits

Thanks Peter So when a franchisor uses an aggregator, the aggregator retains a portion prior to paying franchisor, then franchisor has split with franchisee, unless the aggregator has a flat fee structure?

    Mortgage Broking Franchise Commission Splits

Thanks Terry. I am not looking at getting into a franchise currently, just researching some information for a finance brokerage I currently work for. They don't write mortgages now. The aggregation company they would use has a flat fee per broker offering and not a percentage of monthly...

    Mortgage Broking Franchise Commission Splits

Does anyone know approximately what mortgage broking commission splits are with some of the franchisors? I know Refund Home Loans retains 20% upfront and 25% trail after the aggregator has taken their part.

    Low Doc (self dec)

Interesting. That will be a refreshing change and long overdue.

    Low Doc (self dec)

Majority of lenders work on the Henderson Poverty Index A married couple is just over $1700 in living expenses and each child is just over $400 each, so married with 3 kids is almost $3000 net income you have to earn per month before you can borrow a dime.

    Low Doc (self dec)

That is why I was thinking down the lines of someone with multiple ABN's, non GST registered. i.e. 3 ABN's non GST registered can declare income under $75000 each ABN, so none of them require GST registration and declaration of income under $225000 still would not require GST registration...

    Low Doc (self dec)

Contracting on a commission base only, so even as an employee wage is 100% commission. It is too hard to show consistency at this point to do full doc. I moved interstate and sold my house and now will have to wait another year to buy new PPOR, as then will have GST registration for a year...

    Low Doc (self dec)

I am going to register one for GST the coming financial year due to moving out of PAYG and contracting to my current employer (only been with them a short time), but in the same field of 5 years

    Low Doc (self dec)

Would any lenders approve a low doc if you have ABN's not registered for GST? ie. Two companies (one is a trustee) and an individual ABN. Individual ABN active 10 years, trustee company ABN reg 4 years and other company registered 12 months.

HDT and distibution of capital gain

Yes, it appears that I will have all the capital gain. My deeds were prepared prior the ATO ruling and have had no amendments since. I think it is a good opportunity to wind down the trust as the costs to operate outweigh the benefits.

HDT and distibution of capital gain

I have a Macquarie GS HDT and am a little confused in regards to the distribution of capital gains to beneficiaries due to changes. I am the only special income unit holder and have been neg gearing and distributing all net income to myself at tax time. With a sale of a property/s, will I...

    NSW Stamp Duty Rates

If I placed a deposit on a block of land for owner occupied purposes and could not settle and had to sell prior to settlement, would I pay the investment or owner occupied stamp duty rate, also I would be making a loss on this property and claiming as a capital loss.

    Tax Question

Hi Rob, Thanks for the info. I have set up the LOC to help pay my investment mortgages as I also have some personal debt to get rid of, which was putting a bit of financial burden on me. All rental income is being diverted into my PPOR offset, which has been paying my personal debt. I...

I currently have a LOC which has been set up for capitalising interest. I am looking into buying into a small part time franchise. If I set up a new company for the franchise and loaned the company money from the LOC would I be able to pay back the loan from the company into my PPOR offset...
