Agent to represent me at house auction - Brisbane

Hi Pkin I will just comment on the fees. Typically I find it ranges from $1,000 to $1,500 plus GST to engage a buyer's agent to bid on your behalf. With 50% being an engagement fee and the other 50% charged for a successful purchase. Cheers

    Buyers Agent-First investment property

Horses for courses. I could do my own tax, or use a professional. I could manage my own super fund, or use a professional. I could reroof a house, or use a professional. Buyer's agents definitely have their place, but they aren't for everyone. You need to do your own cost-benefit...

    Brisbane Buyers agent

Hi Aquaman Depends on the level of services you use, but yes J_aco is right typically there is a retainer plus success fee on settlement. You can agree on a flat fee with the BA but a rough est. would be between 1.7% - 2.75% of property purchase price i.e. a 300k property won't cost the...

Renting of Granny Flats in Redland Council

Thanks RPI. Always a wealth of information in this area. Not to hijack the thread but what timing do you foresee on a decision in regards to your case with BCC? Also I can't remember if I read or was told that some GF owners have already successfully appealed against BCC - is there any...

Renting of Granny Flats in Redland Council

Hi Dave In Redland it definitely was the case that the granny flat had to be used by the same household as the primary dwelling i.e. can't have two leases on one lot. 90% confident this is still the case, however also pretty sure it isn't being enforced - not saying that it won't be however...

    Buyers Agent Advice

Hi Davimin I think I received a positive feedback about Paul from We Find Houses, so will see if I can dig that up and PM you - but obviously due diligence is key. Also echo Jacque's comments, though would also add that it is important to contractually know which agent from an agency will...

Hi Tillie Engaging a buyer's agent just for the negotiations is pretty common, and typically is conducted on a fixed fee basis. Jamie M has made some good recommendations.

I have heard good things. Though there has been recent turnover in some of their offices, so would take that into consideration.

Do I need a buyers agent?

@aramz. Pretty late reply aramz but yes you can definitely negotiate with your lender to include buyers agent fees in your loan. A lot of agents will have a relationship with mortgage lenders that are aware of a BAs services. Fixed fee situation obviously makes it easier.
