    AMP Bank

    I have a loan through their credit union. Don't know about their bells and whistles but the variable rate I have with them is 4.74%, they like you to be a member to get it and bank with them for a while first but at that rate it's worth doing it and they have been very good to me.

    I like both shares and IPs though the main difference for me is, with IPs I don't seem to worry so much borrowing 200k to invest in it but find I'm limited by cash flow from going much further, where as with shares I can look around and buy and sell small parcels as I see fit, which I enjoy...

    Strong Growth in Brisbane

    Debt Junkie where did you buy? I think prices have dropped 10% in brissy since Feb. where I look, but rents are still going up. Around Rochedale Sth there was only one or two properties around the $400k then, now they can be picked up for from $360k and probably less if you were to try hard enough.

    I lucked into it with one loan and have sent someone else there who got knocked back but the AMP credit union is still charging less than 8% ( or there abouts) for their variable loan rate. Went to try and get a second loan with them but they said no but to try again later as I wasn't keeping...

    A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. I don't do much domestic work but the reason why most sparkies say "it depends" is because it does. There are many variables in wiring and believe me nothing is more scary than going into some idiot handymans house and trying not to kill yourself...

    I'm not sure if an isolation switch is required also, that can be reached from the stove. The rule keeps changing on that one.

    Sadly sold 1, first IP went halves with a friend in WA but circumstances changed and we decided to sell. It was good while it lasted had some fun fixing it up, now we have both managed to do it our selves anyway.
