    Henry Rollins

How was the show? We went to see him when he was last in Melbourne. Was a good night out. He has some interest opinions about how the world works. Went away with some new ideas and a much more open mind. Cheers, Mick

Question about IO PPOR Loan with Offset

All fair points Alex. We will live off the same thing we would if we didn't own our PPOR outright, investments. :D We plan to heavily invest during and after we pay off our PPOR. W may even convert into an IP in future and have it +cashflow for some income. Will be in the wifes name so...

Question about IO PPOR Loan with Offset

Good to know. We will be tipping in extra where we can and once up to the original loan amount the house is 100% ours. :D Should only take 5-7 years at the rate we are going. Cheers, Mick

    Rendering in a 'brick street'

With the right looking garden, roof and fixtures, I dont think anything can beat the appeal of a rendered house when to comes to "New Look" factor. Id certainly gravitate toward a newer looking rendered house rather than an older looking brick home. There are rendered houses in our...

Question about IO PPOR Loan with Offset

Yep. We would like to pay off our PPOR before investing in rental property. I guess the reason behind this is because ill always be in commission based jobs and the wage's go up and down so much it would be a huge burden off our backs if paid off in full, or at least a huge chunk of it in the...

Question about IO PPOR Loan with Offset

Thanks for the reply. We understand this will not be deductible as its not an investment loan. Ah yes so i we have a loan amount of $150k, and we have $150k sitting in the offset account, we effectively don't have to pay anything each week to the bank. In that case could we then...

Hi everyone, Long time no see from me. Ive been a busy little bee selling my ring off in the car sales industry. Thoroughly enjoying it, although the 65 hr weeks are getting to me a little. Anyway, the reason im popping up again is to clear something up that a friend of mine at work...

How much is the standard rate for managing investment property ?

Im yet to buy an IP and am also wondering what the costs are. When people quote "5-6%" etc does this mean a percentage of the rent paid per week? ie 5% of the $300 p/w rent so the agent gets $15 per week for their trouble? Cheers, Mick

New/Used Car Salesman on the forum...

For sure. The Platnium Sorento is the flag ship vehicle for Kia in my opinion. Hahaha... Im proud to be in an industry where with no university degree or no real qualifications what so ever, you can potentially make over 100k+ PA working approx 60hrs per week. Our top sales woman made 100K+...

    Werribee

I own a house in central Werribee (10min walk to town centre) and have to say you can actually feel the growth in the area. Wyndham is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia and the fastest in Victoria. We will be buying our first IP in this area for a few reasons, one mainly being that...
