update from Karratha. Chevron just came through - last week - and put the whole of the Karratha market under offer. info from 3 locals. read it and weep, Sydney boys.

the figures don't line up because it takes into account said escalation figures. "under contract" doesn't mean "under contract for the project lifetime". they could be 5, 10, or 20 year contracts or anything in between. it's like a commercial lease. Chevron issue a 5+5 option or a 10+10...

there's no doubt what he's saying about melb will come true - melb is set for some serious growth. does it make it any better than perth? well, does melb make a better investment than syd? or is it just another city rivalry thing?

and they'll need houses for execs and workers. try and land a hovercraft here in WA with pilot and get Chevron to take you up on it? well, it's just quicker, easier and cheaper to buy 2 or 3 houses leased at market rent and live off the $150kpa it makes you for doing....well, fug all really.
