we have one television about to be upgraded because it died. poor 6 year old mono $99 special - i will miss you. no telly in the bedroom. no second telly room. no Wii / PS / XBox.

if my 5yo said she was going to kill me i doubt she'd see daylight again - and she knows it. sue - i'd have had approached thos ekids parents infront of all the other kids parents and asked what they're going to do to correct the incident, ask them if they feel that appropriate behaviour etc...

tecahers need to inform parents that it isn't acceptable, and then if it happens AT school, the child is disciplined AT school. if i found out my kids were being bullied after the perpetrator's parents were informed - i would rain hellfire with a vengeance disproportionate to the actual problem...

try buying anything LESS than a 42in and look at the blank stare you get...

fear. instill fear. bring the singaporean cane in. watch the crime rate drop after a few ACA specials.

or the kid doing the bullying got a good retort, was embarrassed, and tried to do something about it to save face.

i think it just seems like it happens a lot because you get it first thing in the morning, on the radio news on the way to work, midday news, 4:30 news, drive home news, evening news, then it's on ACA / TT, then it in the sunday "recap" paper. a 12 year old getting stabbed is a woeful event...
