This argument doesn't fly with me. It reminds me of 1984 - do as we say and you won't be harmed. In any case, the police force has many competing priorities, but the main one is to catch serious criminals. Not to be the Government's tax man.

Speed cameras are another tax. The 100% justifable tax. They do not lower the road toll - anyone who suggests otherwise is engaging in post hoc ergo propter hoc.
