Investor, Your statement's quite amusing from a historic perspective. Redfern used to be THE place to live in Sydney a number of decades ago. Such a suburb HAS changed - and it's likely to do so again - many times :) I've spoken to friends who work in Redfern (used to do so myself)...

Re: 40 Walker St Without doing the numbers, I'd see this as a reno & flip opportunity not a rental. Aim would be CG, not rental return....so would have to buy at the right price - but I would have to think a lot before buying in Sydney right now anyway ;) Cheers, Aceyducey
