ANZ Fixed rate - New with Breakfree ! ANZ have a special offer. For a limited time you can fix for 3 years @ 5.99% on an ANZ breakfree package. I'm hoping this means that 100% offset and IO applies ? http://anz.com/personal/home-loans/compare-home-loan/breakfree-home-loan/ The site...

Yeah I read earlier that anz offset only comes with the 1 year fixed rate loan. You also have to pay $750 lock fee. I reckon I'm better off just staying SV!

Now that the RBA didn't cut the rates and they say the banks might increase IR soon I think it is now the ideal time to grab the 2 year 5.8% fixed rate ANZ is offering!! I dont think the fixed rates are going to go much lower!! I dont plan to be buying in the next 2 years so this would be...

hmmmm, that is an idea! I'll think about that one! edited to say: I'm not sure if I can though because they are cross col. there are 2 separate loans. a residential investment loan and a regular home loan. so maybe i can i dunno. i'll talk to mb come early feb. thanks for the idea!

My mb reckons wait to see if the IR fall at the next meeting in Feb. But also that you have to be careful and not wait to long. It might not go much lower than 5.8%. He says if you get something in the 5 range your doing well. I worked out I'll save a total of around $150 per month for each...

thanks for your reply! :) Yeah Perth hasn't moved much. At the most my PPOR has only gone up around $10 K - $20 K in 4 years. My ip hasn't moved. ANZ might not want to uncross the loans if the LVR is still close to 80% Anyway I'll make an appointment and see where I stand. Thanks

Yeah it would help big time! I dont know enough about how fixed rates work and stuff. I need to learn more. For instance after the 2 years I'm assuming I revert back to my breakfree SVR, but is this going to cost much money to switch back to the breakfree.

yep break free! :) thanks I wander if its worth going for the 5.8% or waiting a while longer to see if they go lower?! I would do very nicely with this %. It would be a risk to wait I think. I reckon I should grab it while I can. What do people think on here. Is 5.8% worth pursuing or...

Oh cool. I'm with anz. The 2 year 5.8% sounds great!!! So if I were to stay with anz does that mean I dont have to pay a big fee to refinance? My ppor loan is cross col with my ip valued at $470 total. I hope the anz will allow me to uncross them so they are stand alone now. I'm...

I'm looking for a 3 yr fixed rate sub 6. I was thinking of holding off to see how low they will go but it could look like a good time to organise something now. My ppor and ip loan is crosscol with anz. LVR about 75%
