I have records of water bill and rates notice only other bills like power and gas are on my brother name. water bill and rates are enough to prove i stayed 7 yrs in my PPOR? do i need a valuation report from REA to prove the worth if in future i dont get except from cgt?

I have lived in my home for 7 years and now moving to a new home which an IP of my close friend. Can i rent my old home with 6yrs exception on CGT? what paper work do i need to make sure i get the exception. i am single as of now.
