This is only YOUR opinion. It has everything to do with stopping drug trafficking. Indonesians are entitled to have their own laws and if it means losing a few of our bad apples, so be it. They chose to do it in the first place.

No I was referring to his connection with the church. The majority of Australians who voted for the coalition, voted for their local rep and the party and not for Tony or Julia. I'm sure those 2 will get the message at the next elections or maybe even before the elections.

You don't see it because Tony Blunder has religious connections who voted for him so he has to follow their wishes

Shapelle got away with it and they had plenty of evidence. Other countries eg Malaysia, Singapore, China also have the death penalty. Should we not go there either? I think the message should be don't get involved with drugs at all and lock & strap your bags when you travel.

oh yes good excuse, if they were serious about helping others they would have done it. Instead they chose to take their secrets to their graves.

Because they didn't dob in the other people in their cartel. If they were sorry, wouldn't they want to shut down their operation and save some kids lives?

They showed none of that. Why didn't they dob in the other people in their cartel? They fooled everyone, they first convinced the church leaders that they have discovered God and then got the church leaders to convince the politicians to take their side. You'd think that the prime minister...

Well this is your opinion. I support the death penalty because the punishment has to be comparable to the crime and this particular crime was comparable to killing many people. Instead of having warm feelings for the criminals we should be turning our hearts towards their victims, the...

They thought that they can get away with it like Schapelle Corby did but obviously the Indonesians don't want to make the same mistake again..... Although what Shapelle did was nothing in comparison to what these guys were doing...

    Bali Nine

It sure does, I know 2 who won't do it again....
  14. B

    Bali Nine

Exactly, and the death penalty acts as a deterrent which I would not want to take away, ever....

    Bali Nine

I think there is too much compassion from Australians. Why do we forget the harm these guys have done to other people? Is their so called reform going to bring back the lives of people who overdosed and died on our streets? We seem to blame the victim for taking the drugs in the first place...

They would still be doing it destroying young & vulnerable peoples lives. IMO they got what they deserved, there is no high enough punishment for drug traffickers in Australia. I'm actually disgusted by the support they got by the media and by our elected politicians who chose to support...
