Will Australia's next property boom be the greatest boom we've ever seen?

My guess is the interest rates caused them to run out of serviceability of their existing loan/s, But it could also have been a change in lifestyle such as a new baby, etc Wrong. This place is a fishbowl where the higher level of financial education exists. The average Joe out there...

Will Australia's next property boom be the greatest boom we've ever seen?

One of my ex-Bosse's mates had a house in Doncaster at this time. I remember my Boss telling me how he had to sell his house due to the IR's - it was worth approx $1mill back then, and he had to let it go for $650k. I was staggered because I didn't know anyone who even owned a house worth...

And, this would the the standard demographic of an IP investor too....not. Look; I'm sure there are horror stories, but the normal would be Mr and Mrs. Smith trying to become like Jan Somers, or Margaret Lomas....realising their PAYE might not cut it, and are endeavoring to do it with a few...

Second - sold to buy another property to run a B&B and golf school/camp business. Third - sold B&B due to being too highly leveraged and having no cashflow, no life...

An interview on this morning's Sunrise program - the guy said $1mill minimum for a freestanding home in the "middle ring".

Will Australia's next property boom be the greatest boom we've ever seen?

I find it amazing that neither San Fran or L.A are in that list. Those two places are joke what you get for a million dollars. Just a very ordinary house. I guess if you look at the prices in terms of expense related to income, then that's probably why; there are a lot of very high income...
