Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

You don't. You select the conferences with the best locations, then when you get there you register, show up each day to sign in, and then bugger off at lunch time to sight-see/play golf/recover by the pool etc, then get stuck into the food and froth at night, and do it all over gain the next...

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

That would have gone a fair way towards a newer car after trading in the corolla, I would have thought. If you've never been to Vegas before, you probably won't regret it. But, if you have been there before, I would question spending any money at all on going there again - from Australia...

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

It does wear off the tyres on your car, but more like sandpaper wearing away granules of the substance it sands - not a layer of melted rubber that continually sticks to the road and building up a layer. It's tiny granules that eventually work their way off the road. It would only stick to the...

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

As far as I know (and I'm not that smart) the only rubber that sticks to the road is possibly the burnouts that the doofus hoons do in their fully sick VT's maaate!

Same here; just black. Conversely, my 11 year old son simply won't wear matching socks anymore - it's all the rage these days. Black with white/blue...whatever. Pretty cool! So, we just put them in his draw (or he does) not paired up. Easy. :)

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

It just gets rubbed off and blows away/gets pushed off by cars as they pass over it. Many end up as the surface of kid's playgrounds these days - shredded and then mixed together into a granule matting.. Some are used as new supports for coral polyps to attach to on reefs - loads of them...

I ride through winter on my hack clunker; just not 100k's - up the Arthur's seat road and down around to WhiteHill rd and back home to Drugmana. A good part of an hour with excellent views, and peace. The prosecution rests, your Honor!

But that's my point; why the obsession with being faster, when for most it is only ever an activity, and a chance to get out in the fresh air and burn off kg's? Now; if you are in training for races then yeah; go for it...gear up a bit. So how come every weekend down our way (Mornington...

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

Yep; I used to see it in the golf world constantly. Everyone wants to hit it further, and further and further, but do no work/practice on their fundamentals and overall fitness and strength (comparison to cycling; faster with less effort). So, they are continually going for the newest...

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

Way too techno for the purpose I would wager. If it's all about just getting fit then two handle bars, two wheels, two pedals and a seat would be (is) fine, and if it's the wrong size; put the seat up a bit or down a bit and pedal like hell until you are on the verge of vomiting, surely? Why the...

Strangest "doodads" story you have heared

Nice bike. The husband of one of my wife's friends is a bit of a keen rider; goes a few times per week with a group of blokes early in the morning, and occasionally for a decent larger ride on Sundays. He invited me to join them last year. My bike is a good - but old - hybrid clunker and far...

One of the best doodad purchases I can remember was my uncle, who owned a hardware and timber supplies business in our home town. It earned him decent income, but he was no Bill Gates. One year, he bought my Auntie a Daimler for an Easter gift.

A $750k PPoR that has no air con? Dude, sell a few of those shares you still hold and at least buy a tv and a proper bed. You should be able to pick up both on Ebay for about $500 all up.
