    I have no probs with folks being given help for trying to better themselves. If I was the king the doers would always win and be helped more, while the handwringers and "victims" would eat cake... But I think that when the wage-earners are not earning more than the folks who are not wage...

    I don't agree, Datto. The reality is always: how it's going to affect ME, ME, ME. The public like to hear that the Gubb is going to fix the probs - as long as their hip pocket is ok. It's human nature, I'm afraid.... Let the rich take the fall; make sure it's someone else who pays...

    I agree with most of what you say. However, I would trim down the list above even further. The world really doesn't owe anyone anything. We are not entitled to a roof, we are not entitled to food on the table, we are not entitled to landline, we are not entitled to paid pension either...
