That's right. Anecdotal refers to anecdotes. Little stories, not data. Can't imagine why anyone would even type a post on it. Doh!

Just wonder how much of the your stock portfolio was left after the carnage of Aug-Sep 08? And care to tell us how tell just how well it did today? :p

There's a flaw in your logic, lads (yep sorry, you too Player). Not only did McGrath not need to name the person, he did not even need to name the transaction. Had he simply criticised Keen's argument, wouldn't he have implicitly betrayed Keen's 'client-trust' just as transparently as...

I keep seeing people asserting this was 'poor form', but no-one's explaining it! Alright, you're entitled to your opinion, I have no problem with that. But without depth of reasoning it's just seems to me to as shallow as it is callow. Keen named himself. Keen shamed himself! (McGrath...

I'm on 'ignore' so hopefully this shouldn't offend anyone too sensitive: I like Surry Hills.

There's a lot to be said for Chalmers St, it's an arterial road into the city within spitting distance of the Redfern Block. Try taking a look at Bourke St or Richards Ave prices. They might just blow your socks off.

Yes, as we keep hearing, if it weren't for the entire plethora of profligate government incentives distributed throughout the GFC for cynical self-serving party-political advantage the real estate market would have already corrected substantially, as it will surely do most imminently. And...

Yes, but he could have done much better than resource stocks if he'd invested the lot on Number 3 on Race 5 at Randwick on the 9th, too. But getting back to the point . . . . oh! What was it again?

Intuitively plausible, but on reflection I'd have to absolutely disagree, Bluestorm. Consider - 1. McGrath's personal blog is not private communication by a private figure about private matters, so there is no invasion of privacy involved here, and every propriety in McGrath using his...

Sorry? Government stimulus measures to help first home buyers during the GFC explain the median fast approaching a million for a house in Surry Hills? Those poor Surry Hills FHB souls!

As reported in the latest API to 28 Feb 2011, 12-month median price growth for Surry Hills according to APM was 18.4% for apartments and 17.9% for houses. Of course, these are only medians, but yeah, I'd have to agree that on these desperate figures it's absolute property carnage in the...
