    I have seen ANZ drop there existing fixed rate for a client when I rang up with her ready to refinance her loan. Cant remember the rate she was on, but they dropped it by ~0.5%

    Agree with Aaron fixing isnt about the best rate, looking soley at the rate gets many in trouble. In saying that I have fixed a portion of my loan 2YR @ 5.8% when I purchase about 6months ago, its IHL more then happy to pay 5.8% and still keep variable portion allowing me to have a offset...

    Probably going to be a retention team that calls you. You could go into a branch and get them to complete a pricing request, but they wouldnt get the decision back (could be 1 hour could be 24hours depending on queues) This would also make it a struggle to rate lock today due to the delay in...
