Just to add my bit, there seems to be considerable concern re: asbestos. Not from Adelaide but doing a major reno on an asbestos filled house in WA. In my eyes asbestos is everywhere out my neck of the woods but people seemed very scared of it. Left undisturbed there is no issue whatsoever...
