    OK, badly worded with the use of 'hope'. Yes it will and has helped. The only risk I see is if circumstances chaneg dramatically and I have to liquidate some of the loans, but that is unlikely in a 3 yr window. Also, we ended up getting the 5.37. Win!

    For my circumstances 5.39 was as good as I could get. Pretty happy with that. They are existing variable loans. I did ask about the 5.37 but was told it is for new refinancing customers only. Boo. The thing is that if I had changed banks I would have had to top up the loans to 80% to avoid...

    I just spoke with ME bank regarding moving a couple of loans accross. The guy said that you could only lock in a certain amount and the rest had to be variable??? Is this right? He said that you had to have $50,000 in Variable to get the 5.39 fixed for 3 yrs. Confused:confused: Care to spread...
