    Ok now you are just trolling! Fyi grew up in newcastle, moved to sydney, rented then bought on north shore. So not really moving away from where I grew up due to not being able to afford it. Took my couple of hundred k profit from ppor sale, rent a modest house, invest in ip's for the future...

    My sister and her husband squirreled away cash by living frugally for their first years of marriage. Both have well paying jobs and bought their first home for about $750k cash. Far more the exception than the rule though.
