    ok that is weird since they are all privately owned according to Pricefinder, including sale history for many going back over a decade Eg 36 Capt Cook was sold in 2007 by DOH to private owner for $170k and sold again in 2012 for $255k, 42 Capt Cook sold by DOH in 2006 etc

    The only ones listed as being titled to "the proprietors" on Pricefinder are 119, 162 and 218. Others are all in private or investment company names. Pricefinder shows no L&HC or Proprietors in Houtman at all?? A number have the name Birch as owner as well... I wonder who that could be? :D

    256 houses and there are 3 that are not in private ownership based off the street owner search I just did in Pricefinder. Willmot is almost entirely privately owned (owner and investor) these days, good for future gentrification, still has its issues as a suburb tho

    I see that old house with dual access in hebersham is not sold as yet... its dropped 100k to 699. But that bizarre 2 storey with side extension made out of coolroom panels in St Clair is under contract!

    It hasnt completely left dock and sailed, I settled a 3br house in 2770 last month in the very low 200's and not from DOH auction. What is happening is people setting high prices and whether or not they are getting them at sale time, I dont know. Like 3 bedders in Blackett listed for 350k...

    Not a lot of fat for buy and sell, but plenty of equity achievable to hold with a basic reno to redraw and continue on with the same method.

    Yeah St Marys is a funny place, sometimes theres great bargains other times its slim pickings. Re 2770 I have a purchase there settling in a week, 3br house in very low 200's. So deals are still to be found if you have agent connections.

    Yes there are some good deals in 2760 if you hunt for them. I bought a 2br villa there last year for 185k rented 300pw. You can get gluts of stuff on the market for rent though in St Marys, comes and goes.
