    If NG and various other government concessions hadn't existed, many developments over these years might not have been started, let alone completed.

    Then this person deserves to lose. They made their own choice. No one stuck a gun to their head. Also I don't know how removing the negative gearing leads to a more "transparent market". Why not remove taxable losses altogether? Let's just tax revenue, not profits.
