    I bought AGO at $2.00 pre-GFC to $0.30 before selling out at $3.30 post GFC. Obviously I'm relatively risk averse - the money wasn't that important to me nor did I need it or needed to pay interest.

    If you retire at 60, then you can spend $50k pa and use up the $1m. Well above poverty line. Die at 80.
