    I'll just add I notice you live in WA where the opposite is true in regards to power stations. The majority are gas so it's a lot easier to manage compared to the Eastern States.

    Heat pumps are still electric Ausprop, just alot more efficient than a hot water system. They work similar to a aircon but the heat that blows out the back of a A/C gets used for heating water. Fair explanation here...
