    The chaps handing out how to vote cards would be working/volunteering for a political party. It's no surprise that the libs hadn't been asked for how to vote labor and didn't have any.

    A plebiscite is a cop out for politicians who don't want to cop the wrath of the loony happy clappers, but want to appear like they're doing something. We're not a country that does them. Our politicians seem quite able to make laws in every other area.

    I guess the ALP think they can pick up young voters, who are overwhelmingly more supportive of gay marriage than older generations.

    It was pretty bad form. There's enough body image issues in society without the potential PM telling us that it hurts if you don't look good.
