Councils! Bah! So frustrating What feed back did your architect get from council? Would be so infuriating to spend all that time getting your designs just the way you want them to have to rework it all, just over a bloody tree.

Here is the SA water pricing on my corner block in Plympton (sorry, my above pricing should be excluding sewer IPs) for one additional torrens titled allotment and 20m sewer main extension along the side street.

I think you are over estimating the cost of the sewer main extension- my Morphett Vale sewer main extension was 19m + 2 new sewer IP's cost $10k, the Plympton one I am doing now also 20m extension + 1 new sewer IP is $8k. Only took 4 weeks for SA water to get back with quote.

Absolutely love the timber feature and render style, there are 2 houses at the end of my street newly built (each would resale for about 1m in Glenelg Nth, one was definitely built by Scott Salisbury) I just can't keep my eyes off em when I walk past, they have been done with slate grey roof and...

more ideas Any reason that option 1 for dwelling 2&3 can't push the study wall out to the boundary, that way it could be bed 4, slightly modify toilet downstairs to have a shower, now 4 bed 3 bath plus study nook, another 2.5m sq increase overall build size but might add value more that that...

laundry for res 2 and 3 make sure builder adds a internal wall support for dryer to be mounted above the washing machine, and I would put in a broom/linen cupboard in there.

attached pic best way to show you my idea, this way you keep council happy with option 1 for residence 2 and 3, maximise feel of privacy with common wall, and get a study nook big enough for 2 kids upstairs, just need to push bed 2 out 600mm, increases overall build about 2 sq m only...

My new purchase - Highbury SA

I like option 1 for residence 2 and 3, less of the what I'd call 'the lived in' spaces along the common wall! I' wouldnt want my master bedroom or sitting room up against a common wall, with design 1 the utility areas-ensuite, walk in robe, stairs and garage are along the common wall, I much...
