PS. I worked out my absolute minimum "need' amount to be about 500 - 600/week, my want amount of course, is much higher....:)

This was my thought exactly..is there some sort of emotional attachment to a four digit income??? I remember ringing my mum when I started making 1000 clear per fortnight and then ringing her again at 1000 clear per week. It certainly was "an achievement" for me....now I think different.

I suppose the question here is the definition between need and want. In your case, you "need" the money because you want to travel. Am I right?
