    I could retire now at age 44 but I can't think of what I'd do beyond a year into it. That would be with passive income too - no stinkin' tenants or company dividends to sweat over. I'm thinking of going into semi-retirement by joining the APS!

    If something has increased in value by x times, then its % increase is x*100 then minus 100. ie. you have to subtract the original value (or 100%) to get the increase over the original value. So, if your IP is now worth 3 times what you paid for it, that's a 3x100 - 100 = 200% increase.

    If anyone is planning to retire young, you might want to plan your long retirement too.
