Perth - could be a good opportunity

My husband was saying they may have let it sit to compact it.

Thanks, tried googling to find planning application but haven't been able to find yet. Gary Blanch park at Ashfield is looking much better

House gone, anyone know what the plans are for the site, 1 Ashfield Parade?

Good spotting, and the next couple of photos have two globes not working in the lounge also. I find those plastic storage shelves beside the desk really annoying. The picture would have looked so much better without them. I put table cloths and vases on top of my ugly stuff before I get...

Soon it will be cheaper to buy at Kallaroo then Craigie. I think prices have gone crazy. Where in Perth can you buy a decent house under $800,000 for PPOR? This house is OK, price still looks crazy to me though. http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-wa-morley-111451095

I had a friend who lived in the next street, Turton Street. Cute house, I think it was 500 sqm, every half hour you'd hear a plane or train. She loved the action. I enjoy peace and quiet.

I was just thinking that too! I don't really look in the premium suburbs much but I'm sure there is other places I'd spend that sort of money on.

When this property was for sale there was better value on the other side of the river around Ascot IMO.

Perth - could be a good opportunity

I wanted to buy on the river there when I didn't know Perth very well about 17 years ago. A neat little property on huge block was on the market for $250,000. I kept watching. No other properties came up for sale. A few years later one sold for around $350,000 and it feautured in API magazine...

Perth - could be a good opportunity

It will be quite interesting to see what the demand will be like for the newly created street front blocks and what prices they achieve. It's funny there's barely ever any for sale and now 4 along that strip. If you hear of any of them selling Kent, can you let me know out of curiosity. Ta!

I think that price is about right. I think 1 Ashfield Parade is still better and would achieve higher price. If I remember correctly you get a view of the river as you drive into your home, whereas cnr Hardy road you don't. And if you looked across the road you would have 'Bayswater' neighbours...

The stigma is changing. Bassendean riverside is in such high demand that some people do consider Ashfield as well. With my block I've had a couple of locals ask if I ever wanted to sell, to let them know. A lot of people love the area and convenience to river, airport, Tonkin highway, shops. It...

Re: Geotech - it would be worth getting. I've got a block A few houses up backing onto a riverfront block and soil doesn't contain much clay so I don't have to worry about extra costs for earthworks. I've heard there's a lot of clay on Hardy Road, Bassendean near Ashfield border though.
