    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

I had a funny old time coming back from a function on Melbourne Cup. It was a networking event so I only had one drink the entire time I was there (about 5 hours). I was pulled over for an RBT 3 times coming home. The first and the third one was fine. G'day, how are you, shame you have to...

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

When I tried to get his badge number and quoted the bit of legislation about what a burnout was he got a bit defensive and left. That should have read "fine" in cash - phone auto correct. I reported him. He was reprimanded for not turning on his recording equipment when conducting a traffic...

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

I have a lit if respect for general duties cops. Very little for highway patrol officers. The last straw for them was one trying to impound my car for a burnout unless I paid him the five in cash. No burnout had been conducted. It was dry weather. A sealed road and an awd car.

If the sign is hidden and there is no parking on one side of the street it can happen.

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

Actually prior to July 06 it was 10% +/-. The speed limit is 100. Your speedo is showing 100. You may be doing 90. You may be doing 110. That it is a huge variation and would potentially get you a fine. That is where the issue is. I am not concerned about speeding fines. I am concerned about...

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

I do the same thing. And the ADRs have changed to mean that a speedo can only over read. However, plenty of older cars still have under reading speedos. That is where the Victorian issue becomes troublesome. In my Golf the speedo at 117 is 110 on the GPS. Cruise along at 117/118 and get...

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

Actually - I agree. Speeding in built up areas is a no go (although defining speeding is a bit of a problem. If a speedo says you are doing 58, the radar says you are going 64 is it fair that you are fined, which is the issue I am talking about) But booking someone for 113 in a 110 zone is...

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

And the impact of those couple of kms would be the death of every small child in a 500km radius, right?

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

That should be how it is done. But Victoria views motorists as a cash cow. The previous ADRs allowed for a +/- 10% error. Tyre pressures also have an impact, so do fitting different wheels and tyres. Hence the outcry over the low tolerances in Victoria. Exactly my issue with scameras. There...

    Infringement Notice - Bendigo

There is driving which is dangerous and there is speeding. Sometimes they can be combined. Often they are not. Someone doing 5k under the limit while not paying attention is far more dangerous than someone doing 10 over the limit on a new highway who is paying attention.
