Hehe I'm with you on the lifestyle shows Penny- seriously addictive! I agree that the show went too long but the timing wasn't exactly beneficial. If they do bring it back next year I think you'll find some changes are afoot.

I think deceived is the wrong word here. Any necessary editing was to speed up the process for tv viewing, as you can imagine how boring and drawn out some of these auctions can be, considering they went up by $1K at a time for some 10-20 bids.... It's got to be entertaining remember? :)

See above re: editing. With some camera cuts to some bidders and not others it was confusing at times. I loved the nervous "scarf wiping" of the Blacktown buyer- I think you'd be simply overwhelmed too if you had about 1000 people behind you and cameras in your face with huge lights- never...

As with TV editing not all is as it appeared.... I was there on the night (in fact all of them) and what you didn't see was the conversations the agents had with this buyer. The "coaxing" was because it wasn't on the market at $710K and never would have been... even with the VB final...

I would have liked to have seen a Head to Head challenge involve only the two contestants to make it fairer. And, yes, how amazing were those wedding reception rooms? Very cool indeed...... though I would have chosen the floral theme, but it does come down to personal taste after all.
