Am curious what criteria you use when selecting a surgeon. Do they publish some sort of ranking or something?

I had the exact same procedure early last year. My out of pocket expenses were something like: $30 for my favourite GP to consult and write me a refferal $160 for initial ocnsult with surgeon. (I can't remember the breakdown of cash paid/medicare refund) $0 Hospital/Surgeon/Anaesthetist...
