Hmmm.....I just received a statement for this account in the post, which is a surprise because no one verified my info and I was under the impression that it was never activated. I wonder how difficult it's going to be to close it down now :(

Same thing happened to me. Tried to open a new account - done everything online, was then sent instructions to go into a branch with ID. The branchie couldn't decipher the printed email saying "go into branch with ID to open your account." For some reason, she couldn't help at that time and said...
