Have you suggested meeting at a time other than the Friday previously organised? If it needs to be of a weekend then maybe a week later? If it were me, I would want to meet the breeder (and dog) in person before handing over full payment.

I would be more concerned about the breeder willing (and happy?) to put an 8 week old puppy on a plane. AFAIK there needs to be special vet clearance to do this and to fly a dog isn't cheap either. What's her reasoning to say that she can't meet on the Friday? What about following days? Have...
