Trouble is suggo, if I reply to yours or others questions I get told that I'm a stuck record or dancing or something. Its not like all of a sudden I'm going to change from my so called "negative" opinion to a "postive" one. I think people have to realise that negativeity depends what side...

suggo when you're through with your clever dancing themes, do you want to give us something that disputes the facts as I've stated? Or is this not possible.

FACT: there have been more properties coming onto the market each week in Australia than there have been that are actually selling = more sellers than buyers. This has been observed since the start of this year. If I'm wrong please tell me, but my research shows differently.

A sample of one, does not a population maketh. No joke. What I was saying is that there will be more and more reports like these. When the commercial current affiar shows finally pick up on this I think it would be a good time to buy again.

And I say it again, you will continue to see reports such as this - (from last weeks SMH)- Bondi heart breaker in wave of prices going down the tube By Jonathan Chancellor, Property Editor A Bondi unit was bought in 2001 for $470,000, and was covered by a $400,000 mortgage. But when it...

Maybe you havent noticed but many of the places that were vacant are now "for sale". The stock of houses for sale is going up and up. If you dont believe me pick a few random suburbs and see how many are available for sale on realestate.com.au, then look a week later and you'll see there are...

All the builders and developers can't just stop. This is their job. They have been making good money selling houses for two or more times what it costs to build. When the demand slows all they're going to do is reduce their prices to the levels they were at before the boom. remember - when...

Thommo, The general view on this forum is that you should lever youreself as much as the bank will allow and when that dries up find another bank to get even more. By doing this in the last 5 years you would have made heaps. The more people that realised this the more investors flooded the...

Could it be argued that the whole doom and gloom thing about oil could be likened to the this whole scare tactic I've heard from some about land running out. ...Must buy now, land is so scarce, nearly none left, pay whatever you can just to secure some of your own, people will always need...

Bill I've skimmed them over in the bookshop. Couldn't agree or disagree with the method of investing. What I have been talking about is the timing of investments. There are only perhaps 5 or 6 periods in a century where its blatantly obvious that its not a good time to buy. Late 2003/2004 is...

Great work Thommo. Thats what i like to hear. I don't care if people agree with my views or not but its good to see that I might get some people thinking about the possibility that what many expect to happen may not necessarily happen. 99.9% of the population of Hong Kong said in 1998 that...

Thats your opinion Mikhaila. I respect that. I can't think of too many times I've been proven wrong (some maybe). I guess thats because I often provide the source for my opinions and its hard to disprove statistics and thorough research.

It seems to be the same few people always that object to my posts. Where I differ from most people that say ....."the maket is bad don't invest blah blah blah" is that I provide opinions with back up evidence in the form of other figures and well respected views from leading experts and...

Well said, See change. If someone doesnt like what I say I would suggest that they dont read my posts or threads I start. There is so much useful information on the web. Billions of pages of information. Why read the pages you don't agree with if its going to cause you grief. Check out...

Mikhaila I dont know what that post proves except that you have found some postcodes that still have a lower rental yield than the average for the whole of the UK. You disagree with me but then you provide figures that prove my point. I should also add that this 7.49% in the UK is already...

I plan to do the same Astroboy. There WILL continue to be opportunities in all markets. For me there arent enough decent bargains available in property for me to invest the time. It s always been to the uneducated and uninformed that I've guided my warnings to. Its those newbies that...

Here we go Average rental yields for England and Wales finished the year down slightly at 7.49 per cent, while average rental income rose from £8,719 to £9,412. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8214-942475,00.html And all this in a country where there really is a lack of...

Thanks astroboy, If you go back in the thread you will see that most of the comments I have made have been responding to peoples questions and asking my opinions. Sometimes I get misquoted and stuff. So I feel obliged to reply. You should know what its like when you have a certain opinion...

MAte this is what you seem to do. Why make such an obvious comment like the housing market is not the stock market when everyone realises that already. Its comments like "Remember LB, this isn't the stock market" that make the rest of your comments irrelevant because if you think...
