    Another way of saving money - education.... what about buying/renting in catchment area which has excellent public schools, just think about the $ you could save each year on your children's education???? Private schools could cost as much as 12-14K pa and more uniforms, excursions etc....

    Kathryn The thing is I could do this but no one will eat it not even my dogs. Freezing stuff doesn't work either, I just don't have the room and same issue no one will eat it. I am thinking just cut down on quantity, just make enough for one meal, I know its not best way to maximise my time...

    If you can't beat them join them:) Some of the ideas for saving are OK, its just what suits. I throw out bags of food from my fridge each week, I spend $300 pw on food shopping and only have 1 child at home and go to dinner at least twice per week. No one will eat left overs the next day...

    Me too.... spent the same for my girls (2) now they have perfect teeth, so I also now have braces, fortunately only the top, if they can have perfect teeth so can I, after all I am paying for it:) Sick of these girls bleeding me dry.

    Too needy, that's the problem had one of these, spend your life cleaning the suckers. That's where nespresso/capsules come into play, no work, good coffee. There's a thread on this, I am not a coffee snob, but I don't like dish water either.

    Could save a fortune by not using property managers for your IPs, in Perth that is on average 8.5% pa, if you are renting one property at $500 pw, that will be a saving of $2,210.... I don't actually do this, but hey another way, imagine if you have 10 of these saving you ($22,100 pa), its huge...

    No problems with that Singo. Stop using expensive cleaning products that are toxic, make your own products, using ingredients such as vinegar, bio car soda etc. Plenty of info on the net on this Organise weekly menu prior to shopping and stick to this list. Shop around and compare...
