Education does not only include school/s I want what they actually want to achieve, their goals/aspirations, if that makes sense. What they want to achieve, not what I want them to achieve. Only they can do this, not me regardless of choice.

This thread poses an interesting question should we be discussing private vs public at all? Is the issue here is really about teaching and the system in public sector, am I right? We know that in the public system, teachers can not be sacked, if they are not performing they get moved...

Absolutely agree with you. Not all teachers are great teachers, I have had seen shockers in public as well, its just a job they are over it, would rather be home, or doing something else..... then do everyone a favour find another job, give the kids half a chance.

I did, I sent daughter 2 to public school daughter 1 to private/elite school - she got bullied, cos she was academically not up there, teacher called her a "low achiever", what do you think of that?? As I said they both are great well rounds kids.:)

Happens all the time, I know people who have done this. I also know someone who uses her brother's address so her children could go to a public school in a particular catchment area. I also know someone who just purchased a 1 bedder and used that as their mailing address.
