Wow, a blast from the past. So it 6000 in 2007, then GFC 2008 when it crashed?? I notice the Aussie dollar at this time was 77-78, we are now just a tad lower at around 75-76. I just wonder whether history will repeat itself??

Hi RW No, yields are not everything, would be diversifying and would be nice to high some sold high yielding shares. I think realistically fully franked for cash flow perhaps around 6%

Ok the original thread..back to high yields, perhaps I was a tad ambitious at 8 percent, realistically 6 percent fully franked?

Wont hurt, I think interest rates cuts will always be a positive for investors. What about the Aussie $ at 76, how does this impact on the share market??
