Your lifestyle and location requirements don't make sense with living in Frankston. If you are looking for investment, any type has it's merits, providing your outlook is realistic (ie: given current market conditions i estimate you may find no cap growth for a number of years) In terms of...

Guan, [I see Traralgon has pretty good yield upon a quick check ... 7% looks achievable based on listed prices, looks like limited rental stock and plenty of homes for sale... but the airiel view of where it is does not do any justice, and what is the impetus for growth in the future? :)]...

agree with Southsider on the transport side. not unlike anywhere 20kms + out. throw a bus, waiting time/ drive to a rail station and you have close to 60mins travel time from most areas in the old zone 2 to city. adding another 15-20mins on that can't hurt if you are paying close to half...

Purchasing in VIC - Frankston Area

Noooo!! :) This is a 'classic' example of the something so 'simple' being perceived in different ways. Let me clarify. Beaumaris Beach is IMHO one of the best beaches in Melbourne Metro. Beaumaris is so unique even the weather is different there (by way of the bay exposure to the east, west...

do not underestimate the power of the sea. combine that with transport & other positive infrastructure and you have a special combination. for example .. put yourself if kerry packers shoes for a moment ... you are so much closer to the beach house in portsea! ... i wonder where i would want...

Purchasing in VIC - Frankston Area

thanks Harris. I learned this from speaking to agents this morning. I guess this does not take into account any 'subject to' conditions in this contract (ie: finance/ formal property inspection), however i gather it is rare contracts are cancelled as a result of unsatisfactory resolution...
